1.Opening images
Open images and create new ones.
• From the menu bar, choose File > open to open images.
• From the menu bar, choose File > New to create a picture from a to Z. Select a predefined document setting. You can customize it by entering the values of your choice, especially for width and height.
2.Familiarity with the workspace
Follow the guided tour of the workspace
• The menu bar (located at the top of the interface) includes, among other things, file, edit, and Image menus, which provide access to various settings, commands, and panels.
• The options Bar (located below the menu bar) shows the options for the selected tool.
• The Tools panel (located on the left) includes tools for editing images and creating illustrations. The related tools are grouped together. To access the tools of a group, you just have to click on the corresponding icon in the panel.
• The right pane includes, among other things, color panels, layers, and properties that provide access to various image manipulation commands. The complete list of panels is available under the Window menu.
• The document window (located in the middle of the interface) displays the file you are working on. Each open document appears under its own tab in this window.
• To close an image, choose File > close.
3.Zooms and Panoramics
Change the display of an image.
• The Zoom tool is available in the Tools panel. In the options bar, you can change the zoom-in option to zoom out.
• The Main tool, available in the Tools panel, allows you to navigate through an enlarged image.
4.Canceling operation
Cancel one or more operations, and use the history panel.
• To undo the last operation, choose Edit > Undo, or press Ctrl + z (Windows) or CMD + z (Mac OS).
• To restore the last canceled action, choose Edit > Redo, or press Ctrl + z (Windows) or CMD + z (MacOS) again.
• To undo multiple operations, click Edit > Go backwards as many times as necessary, or select a step in the history panel.
5.Registering your work
Use the recording commands.
• Select File > Save or file > Save As.
• Choose the Photoshop (. psd) format to keep the layers, text, and other editable properties of Photoshop. It is recommended to save your image in this format while you are working on it.
• JPEG (. jpg) and PNG (. png) formats allow you to save a file as a standard image that you can share, open in other programs, and publish online. Once you have finished editing, also save a copy in one of these formats.
